Up for your consideration is a very lovely hand blown French Opal Coin Spot cruet made by Fenton Art Glass. It has a tri spout which pours three different ways. This piece is unmarked, but I believe it was made in the 1950s. Coin Dot was made from 1953-1954 and during that time, Coin Dot and Coin Spot were very popular. Coin Spot looks like Coin Dot, but is made just the opposite, with the coin dots being clear and the coin spots are opalescent. When Coin Dot is produced, a mold, which is called a spot mold will form the circular patterns into the glass and then is allowed to cool slightly, then is reheated. This causes the parts that are outside or between the circles will turn cloudy which gives the glass a beautiful white opalescent color. This is called French Opalescent glass.
CONDITION Both stopper and cruet will come to you in like new vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and measures 6 3/4" high x 3 1/2" at its widest point. The stopper does have a few air bubbles inside it and it is not the original stopper, but the fit is good.
